Crisp toasted bread topped with juicy chopped tomatoes and creamy spicy nduja, finished with fresh basil and olive oil.

  • 1 large baguette or ciabatta loaf, sliced into 12 pieces
  • 3 medium ripe tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup nduja
  • 1 clove garlic, halved
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F or heat a grill pan over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped tomatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and sliced basil. Stir gently and let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet and toast for 8 to 10 minutes until golden.
  4. While still warm, lightly rub each slice with the cut side of the garlic clove.
  5. Spread a thin layer of nduja evenly over each toasted slice.
  6. Spoon the tomato mixture generously over the nduja layer.
  7. Serve immediately while the bread is crisp and the topping fresh.
