Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sirloin steaks (8 oz each)
  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  2. In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, paprika, garlic, salt, and lemon juice. Season the steak with salt and pepper.
  3. Add olive oil to the pan and let it shimmer before placing in the steak.
  4. If using, skewer the shrimp and set aside.
  5. Sear the steak 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, basting with butter and garlic in the final minute. Let it rest.
  6. Cook shrimp 2 minutes per side until pink and slightly charred.
  7. Plate the steak and shrimp together, drizzle with remaining garlic butter, and sprinkle with parsley.
  8. Serve hot with lemon wedges and sides of choice.
