Onion Bombs: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe to Spice Up Your Meals

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large onions
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Cooking oil spray

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the onions: Peel the onions and cut the tops off. Carefully hollow out the insides using a spoon or melon baller, leaving a thick outer layer.
  3. Make the filling: In a bowl, combine ground beef or turkey, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix until well combined.
  4. Stuff the onions: Generously fill each hollowed onion with the meat mixture, pressing down to pack it tightly.
  5. Arrange on baking sheet: Place the stuffed onions upright on the prepared baking sheet. Spray the tops lightly with cooking oil for a crispier finish.
  6. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the onions are tender.
  7. Cool and serve: Once cooked, remove the onions from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
