Ingredients
Scale
1 package egg roll wrappers
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup diced jalapenos (fresh or pickled)
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil, for frying
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapenos, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with a corner facing you. Place 1-2 tablespoons of the filling in the center.
Fold the bottom corner over the filling. Then, fold the sides in and roll tightly towards the top corner. Seal the edge with a little water.
In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).
Carefully place 3-4 egg rolls in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Use tongs to remove the egg rolls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Continue this process until all egg rolls are cooked.
Allow egg rolls to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Adjust jalapeno quantity based on your spice preference.
These can be baked instead of fried for a healthier option.
