Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup maple syrup
½ cup bourbon
½ cup chopped pecans
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, bourbon, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
Marinate Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal or cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the fridge).
Sear Chicken: In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken breasts and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Add Glaze: Pour the remaining marinade over the chicken in the skillet, and sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
If desired, garnish with fresh parsley for added color and flavor.
