Ingredients
Scale
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
0.5 teaspoon salt
0.25 teaspoon black pepper
12 oz twisted pasta (like fusilli or rotini)
1 cup heavy cream
0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1–2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (to taste)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, season the chicken pieces with 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the twisted pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 4 tablespoons of butter. When the butter is bubbling, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
Once the chicken is fully cooked, add the heavy cream to the skillet, along with the grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, paprika, and an additional 1-2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning. Stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Add the cooked twisted pasta to the skillet. Toss gently to coat everything evenly with the creamy sauce and chicken.
Taste the dish and adjust the seasoning as necessary. You can add more Cajun seasoning for an extra kick.
Once everything is well mixed and heated through, remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
