Best Chicken Chops with Pineapple: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks (or canned)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic powder, ginger powder, black pepper, salt, and lime juice. Mix well to create a marinade.
  2. Place the chicken chops in a resealable bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-coated. Seal or cover, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
  3. If grilling, preheat your grill to medium heat. If using an oven, preheat it to 400°F (200°C).
  4. If using fresh pineapple, cut it into chunks. If using canned pineapple, drain the juice but reserve it for later.
  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Grill or bake the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F / 75°C).
  6. During the last 5 minutes of cooking, add the pineapple chunks to the grill or oven. Cook until the pineapple is slightly caramelized and heated through.
  7. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  8. Plate the chicken chops and top with the grilled pineapple. Optionally, drizzle with reserved pineapple juice for added flavor.
  9. Sprinkle fresh cilantro over the top for a burst of color and flavor.

Notes

  • Use fresh pineapple for the best flavor.
  • Adjust marinating time based on your preference for flavor intensity.
  • Ensure chicken is cooked to the proper internal temperature.
