Ingredients
Scale
4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on, or boneless, skinless)
1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ginger powder
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Combine sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well.
Marinate the chicken by placing it in a zip-lock bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off any excess. Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side up.
Air fry the chicken for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy. Flip the chicken halfway through cooking.
Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
Plate the chicken and drizzle with additional sweet chili sauce if desired.
Notes
This dish pairs well with rice or vegetables.
You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
