Ingredients
Scale
9–12 pieces breaded fish burgers (or fish filets)
12 slider buns
2 tbsp butter, melted
12 slices American cheese
3/4 cup Mayonnaise
1/2 cup sweet relish
1/2 tbsp dried dill
1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
Prepare the tartar sauce: In a bowl, combine mayonnaise and sweet relish. Stir until well combined.
Add dried dill and lemon juice to the tartar sauce mixture. Whisk until evenly distributed. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
Cook the breaded fish burgers according to package instructions until golden brown and heated through. If using fresh filets, bread and cook until done.
Slice slider buns in half. Brush cut sides with melted butter and toast lightly under a broiler or in a warm oven.
Melt American cheese slices over the bottom halves of the toasted buns in a warm oven or under the broiler for about 30-60 seconds.
Place a cooked fish patty on each cheese-covered bun half. Generously spread tartar sauce over the fish patty. Top with the other half of the bun.
