Decadent Chocolate Cherry Magic Bars: An Incredible 7-Layer Recipe

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped cherries (fresh or canned, drained)
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, melted butter, and salt until well combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded coconut evenly over the graham cracker base. Follow with a layer of chocolate chips, then the chopped cherries and nuts.
  4. Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the entire top of the layered mixture, ensuring it covers everything.
  5. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. The edges should be golden brown, and the center should be set.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven and allow it to cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes. Once cooled, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper.
  7. Once completely cooled, cut into squares or bars of your desired size.
  8. Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for extended freshness.

  • These bars can be customized with different nuts or chocolate types.
